Younger you by Dr Kara Fitzgerald

The purpose of this book is to demonstrate how anyone can reduce their 'biological age and live longer, better.' Written by Dr Kara Fitzgerald a scientist and educator in Epigenetic's; the ability to change your genes through lifestyle changes. This book and Fitzgerald's ethos is that you can lower your biological age (the age of your body based on certain bio markers, such as heart health). The book is extremely comprehensive in its evidence that this is possible and the ways in which you can do this. However it is not an easy read and fro many would be a reference book rather than a one time read. The advice covers what you eat, exercise, sleep and social activities, the most comprehensive being diet. It has some new concepts such as doing an elimination diet when you hit midlife, as many of us get new allergies which impact out health.
There are recipes to follow and a shopping list, but the lack of photos for me makes it hard to be inspired by the food. This is a very useful book, but I would reserve it for those that are looking for a very in depth look at their longevity.
